CODE OF ETHICS

PREMISE

“The Code of Ethics is the Constitutional Chart of the company, a chart of moral rights and duties that defines the ethical and social responsibility of each participant in the company organization.

The Code of Ethics is an effective means of preventing irresponsible or unlawful behavior by those who work in the name and on behalf of the company because it introduces a clear and explicit definition of their ethical and social responsibilities towards all those directly or indirectly involved in the company’s activities (customers, suppliers, partners, citizens, employees, collaborators, public institutions, environmental associations and anyone else interested in the company’s activities)”.

The Code represents the measures that SETRONIC VERONA srl intends to adopt from an ethical-behavioral point of view and sets out internal and external lines of conduct to SETRONIC VERONA srl to be followed in the achievement of corporate objectives.

However, the Code of Ethics does not replace and does not prevail over the laws in force and the National Collective Labor Agreement in place.

1 – SCOPE

This document has been developed to outline the ethical, behavior and operational standards that guide the activities of SETRONIC VERONA srl. This document has been designed with the aim of establishing a solid basis for internal and external relations, promoting a respectful, safe and responsible working environment. This Code of Ethics is addressed to all employees as they are involved in business operations and relationships.

2 – INTEGRITY AND HONESTY

SETRONIC VERONA srl is a company in which fairness, honesty, equity and impartiality of conduct inside and outside the company constitute a common way of feeling and acting. Sharing these principles establishes long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, general transparency in relations with third parties, and fair and equitable recognition of the work of employees.

SETRONIC VERONA srl respects the dignity, rights, and opinions of all people with whom it interacts, regardless of differences in race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, ability, or social position.
It creates an inclusive work environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, or abusive behavior.

SETRONIC VERONA srl is committed to providing high-quality products and services that meet or exceed our customers’ expectations and adopts sustainable and responsible production practices, seeking to reduce the environmental impact of our processes and products.

6 – LEGAL & ETHICAL COMPLIANCE

SETRONIC VERONA srl complies with all applicable laws, regulations and standards in the countries in which it operates relating to the safety of people, structures and assets, avoiding illegal activities, corruption, conflicts of interest or other unethical practices.

7 – ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

SETRONIC VERONA srl is committed to reducing the environmental impact of its operations by adopting sustainable practices and constantly looking for ways to improve its environmental performance.

In this context, SETRONIC VERONA srl has been producing products compliant with the RoHS and Reach environmental directives since 2005, with lead-free circuits and components and non-polluting and recyclable materials.

• This path led in July 2018, following the expansion of the WEEE scope, as a manufacturing company, to the registration in a consortium for the management of electrical and electronic waste.
• At the same time, we also introduced FSC®-certified packaging solutions, a label that identifies products containing wood from forests that are managed correctly and responsibly according to strict environmental, social and economic standards. The forest of origin has been independently inspected and assessed in accordance with these standards (principles and criteria of good forest management), established and approved by the Forest Stewardship Council.

A CONCRETE COMMITMENT TO GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

The Smoke and Fire Beam Detectors produced by SETRONIC VERONA srl are used as a primary detection system in special plants, such as depots and waste recycling plants, allowing early detection and preventing fires that can lead to heavy air and water pollution scenarios in the affected areas.

8 – PROTECTION OF INFORMATION

SETRONIC VERONA srl protects and respects the confidentiality of the information of our customers, employees and the company itself.
It uses information only for authorized purposes and takes appropriate measures to prevent loss, theft, or unauthorized access.

9 – RESPONSIBILITY

Every employee is required to respect and adhere to this Code of Ethics. Any violation of the principles set forth in this document will be investigated and may result in disciplinary action, including termination of employment.
