UTA
The UTA Instrument Calibration
UTA
Coming with the Ardea line models S / 2 and SF (including DUST and EEX,edIP65 versions), the Boomerang line detectors, models S and SF, ECO and MB3S, as detector calibration instrument. The instrument is known as the UTA. Its purpose is to inform the operator of the sum of the “disturbances” consisting of air turbulence, air movements from temperature differences, electrical, radio and optical disturbance and interference and mechanical vibration caused to the receiver as a result of changes in the supervised environment. Knowing the amounts of these disturbances enables the installer to set smoke and fire sensitivity levels that are immune to transient changes that could otherwise cause false alarms. The instrument has a display showing the reference values which is used following the procedures to enter the best sensitivity settings for the environment in which the detector will have to work.
